Adding photos, videos, or files to your pet’s profile is a great way to enhance your instructions and provide additional clarity for our team.
You can upload attachments in the Files section of your pet’s profile. Many pet parents use this space to share helpful visuals such as vaccine records, feeding setups, or step-by-step routines—like how to clip a harness, administer medication, or locate supplies in the home.
How Do I Add Files to My Pet’s Profile?
To upload photos, videos, or documents:
- Log in to your client account using your credentials
- Tap the ☰ menu (top left corner)
- Go to Pets
- Locate the pet profile you’d like to update
- Tap the pencil icon (✏️) next to the pet
- Scroll down to the Files section
- Click “Add Attached Files” and upload your file(s)
- Click Save at the bottom of the page
What Should I Upload?
Uploading files is optional, but can be very helpful. Common examples include:
- Vaccine records or medical documents
- Photos of your pet
- Feeding setups or food locations
- Harness, leash, or equipment instructions
- Medication instructions or demonstrations
- Visual walkthroughs of your home or routines
Important Note About Written Instructions
We love when pet parents leave thoughtful notes—whether that’s a printed sheet at home or a document uploaded to your profile. These can be incredibly helpful and appreciated by our team.
That said, we strongly recommend that your core care instructions are also entered directly into your pet’s profile.
Here’s why:
- Your pet’s profile is what our team references first during every visit
- It ensures consistency across all team members caring for your pet
- It allows us to quickly access important details without needing to locate or open external files
- It keeps everything centralized and easy to update over time
- It supports our team in situations where printed notes may be missed, outdated, or unavailable
Think of uploaded files and printed notes as a helpful supplement, but your pet’s profile should always be the primary source of truth.
Important Note About Videos & Larger Files
While you’re welcome to upload videos and photos directly to your pet’s profile, there may be times when larger files don’t load properly for our team during visits.
To ensure your visuals are easily accessible:
- We recommend sending larger files (especially videos) using WeTransfer (ensure recipient is support@myhandsnpaws.com)
- We will then forward them directly to our pet care team
This helps ensure nothing gets missed and your instructions are always easy to access when it matters most.
Why This Matters
Visuals paired with your written instructions give our team an extra layer of clarity.
They help us:
- Follow your routines more accurately
- Quickly understand your setup
- Reduce confusion during visits
- Provide more consistent, high-quality care
Helpful Tip
While files are a great supplement, your written pet profile instructions should always be the primary source of information. This ensures our team can quickly reference key details during visits without needing to open additional files.
